Lol was only glass of water (as suspect you knew). Haven't really tidied up - just moved things out of the way. Glasses were on face, cloth in glasses case, post -its at side of desk etc.
It is very handy having desk right next to the bed - can just crawl in when I'm tired . Got the TV over to the side and slightly behind me as well so usually switch to the music channels or can shove a DVD in (Little Mermaid!) so that's a bonus!
Actually, would prefer if had a whole flat/house to spread out in instead but there you go - it says something when someone works full time (well not at the moment, but you know what I mean) but still can't afford to move out of their parents house
Sorry if rambly, been in pub again.

Been in pub?........ agen? Luverly. Making do with glass of red at home as just got in from meeting.
I'm all for everything you describe, in the way of work til you drop and then straight into bed.
Feng shui of course states that the bedroom should be a place of calm and no extra electrical appliances TV's etc.
Was leaving myself wide open there for a while.

Oh yes! Suspect I'll end up there tomorrow arvo as well. If not I shall be questioning my pub loyalty lol. I appear to be going slightly mad tonight and I'm not sure why (not even been drinking today) - a short while ago I was sitting here singing "I'm not insane, I'm not insane" which is possible sign that I am in fact insane, but was singing along to television. That's my defence and I'm sticking with it.
I keep getting told that if I move the computer and television out of my bedroom it will help with my insomnia, but where would I move them to?! Much as I agree with the principle of feng shui am not entirely sure it works. Besides, like having my own space! Otherwise would be sharing with little brother or ironing room, and that doesn't sound like much fun!

Well the way I see it we need to be a bit insane to work in a sane world.
The pub is good as it counts as socialising.
Socialising is being gregarious... ergo the pub is good. (Just a personal point of view!).
Feng Shui...well how about a folding screen in front of the computer desk. That way it's something nice to look at while you drift away from insomnia.

How about moving your bed to the kitchen or something?
But then again, do microwave ovens count as televisions?
Ok, what about moving the microwave to the living room.
Sorted!!

Well if I'm gonna move my bed to the kitchen I may as well move the kitchen stuff to my bedroom. Not entirely sure that would go down too well with the parents though...hmm....
One day I'll finally be able to afford the rent on a flat and none of this will be an issue lol.

Oh your parents will play along, I'm sure.
They'll just shake their heads, tut-tut a little bit and talk about going through phases and the like.
Parents are only intolerant when they start on about settling down and wanting to be grandparents and stuff.

Oi you.......
As a parent and grandparent (just) I must be the exception to the rule then. Live and let live is my philosophy.Settle down with someone at the last moment and enjoy life first.
Kiddlets are only lent to us to bring up to the best of our ability. After that we can only guide them through the labarinth of life if they are prepared to listen. They then make their way out into the world. Some causing havoc and mayhem.
Heavy heavy - it must be all the tea I'm drinking I guess.
Mind you I spent so long typing this CQ I've forgotton what comment you made in the first place me ole darling.
Yes must agree, at computer in my study. Prefer a full size keyboard though, my fingers seem to big for the laptop jobbies.
However I have two computers switched on all the time. One monitor, one keyboard and mouse, connected with a switch. In this way I can keep my writing on one and occasionally switch to the other for Internet/email that sort of thing. I find this stops a lot of 'accidental browsing and time wasting when I should be writing.

Two computers!!!! What an old showoff you are......but what a great idea. Alas I can only afford one computer to be honest but I would switch it for a mobile laptop any day. When I wonder will they build a printer internally into a laptop then we could be completely sorted.

If you join your local Freecycle site you can 'pick up' computers nearly every day/week. I found one in a skip the other day, it was complete apart from some RAM. I put some in and away it went. I think the previous owner had become frustrated with it because it was full of bugs which I sorted out. It runs fine now and I call it Skippy.
The switches are very cheap and can be found no ebay places like that.
Regarding printing, what you can do now is sign up for Google documents (free), then save your work/documents to that and print off anywhere.
