would it be too cheeky to suggest my own book? Despite Losing it on Finkle Street is my first novel and was chosen as the launch title for the Pioneer Readers imprint at Fygleaves publishing. You can read the opening at www.pioneer-readers.org/finkleextract.htm.
More cheekiness - Where in Yorkshire are you? I'm in Sheffield. The book is in stock in waterstones meadowhall, blackwells in Sheff and available to order just about everywhere online!

The books I seem to read recently are for the under fives...might have something to do with baby sitting a three year old regularly!
We are loving SHAPE LAND Trevor Triangle Loses The Mail by Helen Wendy Cooper.
It's fun, educational, teaches children about shapes, colour, and I love pretending to be Samuel Square, rolling my tongue and making raspberry noises!
It's great to return to our childhoods now and then isn't it!!

Hello Irene
Welcome to the wonderful world of ups and downs.
Yes it is wonderful to go back to our childhood. I learnt this lesson recently when I had my grandchild to stay. At 1 years old she just loves to look at the pictures which means we can make up our own storyline.
