I am currently writing my life story as part of my counselling therapy and wondered if i can use real peoples names or if i have to change them? I would eventually like to get my writings published and dont fancy being sued!!

Hello
Always seems to be a bit of a dodgy one that.
I tend to only go as far as using the same initials. Mostly....in my experience..... people recognise themselves anyway.
To completely cover yourself use random names.
Hope that helps.
Good luck.

I'm with Tee on that one. Probably safest to use false names in order to cover your back - just in case.
Welcome to the board
