Awake? Cold catches my breath, cramped limbs refuse to move. Another day, another doorway. Long and lank, I stretch, face turned against the dawn. Defiant, it caresses me, calls me. So many times seduced, brought back to life, a lover's touch, when I, reduced to this, would die.

It seemed to me that if, at some point in the distant future, when scores of young people take up the lesson of Yes, it would be a shame if all they did was get drunk and push a couple of monks in a pond.
