Struggling Authors

Whilst I prefer the style of Writers' Forum magazine to that of Writing Magazine, the latter shouldn't be disregarded. I have taken out a subscription for this magazine, and it is delivered along with a copy Writers' News. WN is invaluable. It gives you a lot of information about work wanted by various magazines and websites. The subscription for the two magazines is excellent value in my opinion. I don't know if you can buy WN separately; I haven't seen it in the shops anywhere. If you want a taster of it though, if you buy this month's Writing Magazine, it comes with a copy of Writer's News.

Thanks for the recommendation . I've never seen a copy of either, if I'm honest. I've been trying to find Writers Forum for weeks, but have yet to find anywhere that sells it! I'll keep my eyes peeled for Writing Magazine as well though .

I've seen both Writers' Forum and Writing Magazine in WHSmith and Waterstones. I've seen WM in Borders too.

I've found out that Writers' News is subscription only.

I had to order Writer's Forum specially from my local newsagents. I prefer the style of WF but do appreciate that WM leans more to advertising opportunities.

I've seen both in WHSmith though.

Eastbourne's too small to have a Borders, but will try and get my butt down to WHSmith or Waterstones at some point!
