Hi thanks for letting me join your forum.

I have just started writing my first novel after completing a creative writing course where I received fantastic encouragement. I am finding it very enjoyable (at the moment) and cannot believe how much 'research' I have done and the things I have learnt.

Two books I am finding really useful are Becoming a Writer by Dorothea Brande and The Writing a Novel and Getting Published for Dummies.

I also enjoy writing short stories, poems and letters. I have had two letters published in a computer magazine, one which got the star letter prize, so am full of optimism.

All the very best

Rickon

Hi Rickon, welcome to the site :). I hope you enjoy your time here and hopefully find any help you may need!

Hi Rick, good luck with your writing, it sounds like you're going about it with the right attitude. :-)
