I need to do a synopsis for the novel I'm trying to write. Have never done this before, does anyone have any tips?
Hi Nic,
We will endeavour to help you with this one. If we get a particularly comprehensive answer or enough hints and tips to put together a document then we will publish it on the Struggling authors website for all to see.

Hiya.
I'm not that fantastic at them myself, but I'll try my best to help! Think of how you would sum up the story if you were explaining it to someone. Get across the main point of the story - how she's waiting for this call that will change her life, and she's too obsessed with getting an answer to get on with anything until she gets it
Laura gave Luke an ultimatum; marry me, or dump me. She never expected him to make her wait for an answer, but he did. So now all she can do is wait, eat junk food, and watch surprisinlgy entertaining daytime television.

Actually, I think your synopsis is great - much better and enticing than anything I could come up with.
Been trying to come up with something witty, funny and/ or interesting enough to attract potential readers to want to give my stuff a go, however I've been finding it really difficult to do with limited words.
The other thing I've found difficult is a title - it's tricky stuff this writing lark!!

The title will come to you in time . Remember that some people don't give their work a title until it's totally finished, or change it multiple times!
Your writing's good enough that you could probably just use an extract from it as a synopsis if it came to it. In the end it's the writing that's going to keep people reading your stuff
