Ah well, my story has passion as its theme, but as passion is also defined as meaning extreme emotions, my story includes anger, fear and so on, as well as love. Soppy it ain't. I can't write anything too lovey-dovey, and I don't want to. Nothing wrong with it if anyone out there reading this does this type of story though.
Has anyone else decided to enter this competition? I'm on the second draft of my story now.

It's an annoying ad thing. If you hover your mouse over it it tries to sell you things.

Yep 'course you do
Having said that I can't think of any male authors who wrote books on passion and lurve.
So I'll shut up then
I'm beavering away on Frank Delaney. It's getting to the point when the plot has to be thought about as you go. Also the confirmation of characters etc agreed upon.
Good fun though with all the twists and turns and Inspector Clouseau funnies..........

You're right about agreeing on what the characters are like. I'll just follow your lead on that.
I'm pretty easy on the whole thing so if something doesn't suit your eye feel free to change it Tee.
It's just nice to keep your hand in at writing something bigger than a short story, or song lyrics or rude rhymes to amuse my buddies with.

I did show F.D. to my biggest critic recently and she said........
"It's got definite potential and you're evenly matched in humour and expertise"
From my friend that is praise indeed. I find it especially challenging because I haven't a clue about this type of storyline (although I have got an ending to work to)..........So it stops the ole grey cells from going rusty.
I also have another novel on the go which I have been working "tandem" with this one.
So if an "amulet of fire" suddenly pops up you will know I have def. lost the plot of Frank D.
Short stories.........well I did look at the Woman and Home web site. Crikey mum they do go on. Or was I looking at the wrong comps? Do I want a garden makeover or time with Alan Titmarsh? Face makeover? well arguably that could be sorted I guess. Maybe I would be better off with the magazine However I am settling for Frank D. and a best seller in America. Imagin the American Government sitting on a best seller because of dirty washing eh CQ? LoL

I'd just be happy with seeing it in print Tee.
Whatever, if it's dirty washing you want, I'll pack away the Bold Automatic and get grubby !!!
How we looking on the next part anyway? Will I be stretching the grey matter this week? I'm here until Thursday and then I'm off to a festival for a long weekend.
I'll tell you all the juicy gossip on... er about Wednesday when my brain starts to work again, .
