I find it bad that when any new aurthur trys to get published agents on't tell you what is needed to get your book noticed by them. I keep sending the odd book off now and then, but they come back with the standered letter not helping in any way

Hello Richard
Firstly welcome to the forum on behalf of all the regular "nutters" who contribute. My "nom de plume" is Mad Tee.

Well you sound like an angry little bunny there.

I think most of us that have used this site have had rejection letters. Personally I stopped counting ages ago.
You can go two ways really - and if you go to the "General Discussion" board and work your way through I have posted many thoughts on how to get published.
My preference is to find a literary agent.
Yes it is very frustrating when you get a standard letter "Thanks but no thanks"....
Have you got a writers and artists year book? If you read the first few chapters it expains all the pitfalls of looking for a publisher/literary agent.
Hopefully I'm not telling you how to suck eggs though.
Feel free to sound off with posts and I'll do my best to answer them.
What type of books are they by the way?

Hi Richard,

Hopefully we will be able to help you out with your issue soon.

We are interviewing the head of a well known literary agency and will be asking some in depth questions on how to get noticed. So you never know....

Stay tuned as we hope to have it finished and live by the end of the month.

Regards

RG

I'm looking forward to your in depth interview Richard.
Hopefully it will give us the encouragement to keep on plugging away
with our literary achievements.
Mad Tee
