Well I have had plenty to say and write on the subject of Writers Block on this site.
However it seems that of late I have come down with this self same lurgey.
Having completed the trilogy in the year I started work with CQ on Frank Delaney The Longest Journey which is great fun to do. No pressure as I do a bit and then CQ does his bit.
I have story outlines for two other childrens storys and I opened up one of them recently. I couldn't think of a thing to write.
Ok so maybe I needed to look at the second one.
Nope it's the same thing. I can't think of anything to write as I look at a blank document on my screen.
The enthusiasm is there but no text.
So is this writers block d'ya think folks?
I'd say so. I suffer from the very same. I have this brilliant story in my head, I've already published one book on my own and I'm really looking forwawrd to create something new but the words just isn't there.
From what I have learned I can tell you just to be patient. My internet seems to be distracting me when I try to write, so I turn it off. I've also realised that if I give it a few extra minutes the words will come. A few ones anyway. I think that's the end you have to start with.
That's what I'm trying to do. A few more pages and then it will go much easier

Well so far I have shut down the computer and walked away several times. Inevitably I then get some ideas and go back to the storyline. Weird aint it when then happens. However I am now working on another novel which I look at and put down then look at again..... It's a matter of application and discipline I guess so we plod on. Well done on publishing the book by the way. What sort of success have you had with it and whats it about? I had two literary agents - both american and I had to part company with both of them for many reasons. So like others I'm back treading the boards again with my infamous trilogy.

I've published it on my own, but I think I've achieved some success with it anyway. So far I've sold 150 copies and got a book signing for the local bookshop... So far my book is out in three bookshops in two towns Oh, and I've gotten great feedback from my readers and that's really nice
I'd love for it to be translated into English at some point. I'm fluent in English but I don't think I could translate it on my own and re-publish it on my own in other countries... I'm going to need some help doing that
