So have we got a book for the month of August/September then? How about "St. Trop" Or maybe a review of it, by or of the author. You spoke about the comparison of Lock Stock and Two Smoking So how about it then? |

Good God i can't remember that far back woman. It was the summer - however I do think it was Richards book we discussed at the time. We are both on Authonomy now and doing very well thank you. Richard did ask me to do an update for SA of where I went from here which I did. Under "General Discussion I think" hun. If you also check out my blog its on there also, - plus my reviews.tgeering.blogspot.com Are you OK? it's so long since we chatted. |

Heya. Yeah, I'm OK. Could do with a break though, things have been a bit full on between work and uni work, and I stupidly decided to try and do my family history so now I have even less relaxation time. Just need to hold on until Dec 19th and then I've booked a whole week off. Hopefully no-one will die this year and we'll have a nice christmas. How're you? |

Hey Sammi Good thanks. Up to my eyes on Authonomy of course but don't mind that. I would certainly recommend the site for the reviews alone. You certainly get a warts an all perspective of your work. However it does become a full time occupation. I seem to recall you had a death in the family last year. Your grandad? I'm sure it will be ok this year though. Bet you have a right ole knees up. The site looks great doesn't it? And we're pulling a few more newbies. The ole fella does a grand job. About to go to lunch with my son and his family so will be offski. Catcha later kiddo |

Well I forgot to mention I did my family history and got back to either 16 or 17 something. I also discovered that the Guestling Murdress(or Murdering Mother) was one of my ancestors !!! It's fascinating once you start. AND of course you have got Lewis down the road. (Is that how you spell the town name?). They hold all that sort of stuff there I seem to remember. |

They do indeed but that involves going there! Have been doing it all with the ancestry website. Back to people born in the late 1700s on part of my dad's side, and my mum's mum's side (if that makes sense). Really glad I started doing it actually because I'd never seen a picture of my dad's mum before - she died in the 60s and he doesn't really like talking about it - and I mentioned this the other week so my mum dug out a load of old pictures my uncle sent us 10 years ago when he was doing the family history (even though he's already done some I decided to be stubborn and do it as well). There's some really beautiful pics of her, as well as some amazing old photographs from the 1800s. I've got an adulterer who's wife died in mysterious circumstances (my great grandad Frank and his brother Harry were the result of the affair), and my great granny on my mum's (Irish) side was disowned by her family because she ran away to marry a catholic. Plus I found out my family used to own this: www.pekesmanor.com Very upset that's not still in the family! |
